Bring friends, bring family, but most of all bring yourself out for some grilled hot dogs & hamburgers, beer and soda on Saturday June 16th, 2012! Our festivities will begin around 1pm and will continue into the evening. We have 2 picnic tables where foodies will be eaten from between 2pm and 4pm followed by a presentation from your's truly on Dependency Injection and Aspect Oriented Programming and how to implement them through Coldspring in your ColdFusion OO applications, and why ;) Bring any food or beverage you want to share with others, bring a folding chair if you have one and want to sit comfotably in the spot of your choosing , and be sure to spread the word to everyone you know! This is a practical presentation with lots of good information for both junior and senior developers on best practices. Save time, energy and frustration with the information you'll learn, and can immediately put to use. Agenda: 7pm - 8pm: Meet & Greet - meet your fellow ColdFusion and Actionscript Developers, eat some pizza and drink some soda while mingling with your peers and making new friends. 8pm - 9pm: CF Coding Standard Presentation by Denard Springle Meeting Minutes: 7-7:30pm: Introductions and food 7:30-8:30: Bumbled presentation on coding standards due to venue and technical issues presented by Denard Springle. Discussion of bad coding techniques vs. better coding techniques demonstrated through code, brief rundown of the ColdFusion Coding Standards document (available in the resources section of this site). 8:30-End: Discussion about future topics for discussion, request for volunteer speakers. Come on out and get a free beer on me, network (get to know) me and your fellow area Coldfusion developers and discuss future plans for NVCFUG. Fast Eddies has dancing upstairs, a mechanical bull (for the truly adventurous, or truly drunk <g>) and dozens of (fairly) decent pool tables downstairs. Full bars on both levels. Smoking is allowed (for the smokers among us). I hope to see everyone out there!
